I’m Stacey, a designer specialised in UX, currently based in Sydney, Australia.

For me, a great design doesn’t just look good, it improves lives.

Having recently completed my Bachelor of Design at Swinburne University, I’m looking for opportunities to grow in UX and, further, in CX.

MY STORY

My design journey kicked off when I was 13, and I had no idea what I was getting into. It all started with a K-pop fan page, where I became an admin.

After a short time, I found myself hooked, spending all my free time on Photoshop CS6.

With that bit of experience, at 15, I started volunteering for my high school’s student union and a few NPOs in my city, working on their design teams.

It gave me the chance to dive into all sorts of media work, from planning and marketing to organizing events.

During my first two years at university studying graphic design, I really started taking design seriously. I learned the fundamentals of design and art and thought I’d finally be satisfied with what I was creating.

But as time went on, I couldn’t shake the feeling that:

Something was still missing…

Something was still missing…

In 2020, I took on my first UI/UX project, it completely changed how I saw design. Suddenly, I wasn’t just thinking about layouts and colors, I was looking at a bigger picture.

It was so rewarding to see how each decision was backed by research and testing.

That’s when I knew I wanted to dive deeper into UX.

I spent my last two years at Swinburne studying UI and UX in greater depth.

The more I learned, the more I realised there’s way more to explore.

Now feels like the perfect time to grow through industry experience and tackle real-world challenges. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me.

I love people.

I find humans fascinating. The way we talk, how our personalities evolve over time, and how our behaviors are shaped by so many different things.

That’s also what I love most about UX: getting to talk to people, listening to their stories, observing their behaviors, and digging deeper to understand the ‘why’ behind it all.

I’m resilient and like adapting to new situations.

I really enjoy changes, new things, and challenges that push. Because, that’s how I see I’m really growing upward.

I often get really obsessed with any projects I’m working on.

Finally, I’m always looking for new things to learn. I might be young and still gaining experience, but with my curiosity, energy, and fresh perspective.

I believe I can bring something valuable.
